In the rapidly evolving banking landscape, speed to market is everything. Financial institutions needed a scalable, self-managed way to build, test, and deploy features faster — without compromising on security, cost control, or compliance.

Temenos launched its Continuous Deployment (TCD) service to help banks adopt DevOps best practices, bringing automation, visibility, and agility into the software development lifecycle.

Traditionally, deploying updates or new configurations in banking environments was slow, fragmented, and coordination-heavy. Banks were:

  • Dependent on vendor-managed environments.

  • Struggling with long feedback loops and manual testing.

  • Facing high infrastructure and operational costs.

The challenge was to design a system that allowed self-service environment management, automated testing, and cloud-native deployment — all in a regulated, high-stakes domain.

Key Features

  • Extend Module: Enabled bank teams to create, manage, and configure self-service environments on-demand via a secure portal.

  • Assemble Module: Integrated CI/CD pipelines and provided real-time feedback on test cycles, logs, and release readiness.

  • Cloud-Native Architecture: Designed with modularity for on-premise, hybrid, or Temenos SaaS deployment.

  • Dashboards & Reporting: Delivered usage insights, test trends, and pass rates across projects with drill-down capabilities.

  • Role-based Access Control: Ensured separation of duties across developers, testers, and deployment leads.

My Role

Designed with the system, not just the screen: Approached design challenges by mapping interactions across users, workflows, and compliance logic—ensuring design decisions reflected both product and platform-level constraints.

  • Collaborated across silos: Worked closely with product specialists, sales agents, and internal banking teams to translate complex financial workflows into intuitive user journeys.

  • Led cross-functional design efforts: Partnered with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to co-create solutions grounded in both technical feasibility and user empathy.

  • Maintained system-wide consistency: Contributed to and aligned designs with the Temenos Design System, ensuring scalability and coherence across a platform used by 800+ banks globally.

  • Brought feedback into the loop: Integrated insights from usability sessions and feedback from agents on the ground, shaping the design through continuous iteration.
