About

Hi, I’m Anurag—a human-centered designer whose journey cuts across engineering, storytelling, music, and systems thinking. My career spans six years in UX, software development, consulting, and customer experience. But my approach to design has been shaped just as much by life outside the office: from writing scripts and prototyping theatre with Ship of Theseus’ Faraz Khan, to running a post-punk band as a bass guitarist, and even co-creating a satirical media show on social narratives.

My background spans software, theatre, and music. Each one taught me the same thing: systems reflect the people who build them. In rehearsal rooms, I learned to test ideas, stay open, and question what seems fixed. On stage and in studios, I saw how rhythm, tension, and friction help shape meaning. Creativity often comes from working through mess, not avoiding it.

My work focuses on navigating complexity—whether that means legacy technology, fragmented workflows, or ambiguous goals. I approach design with a reflexive mindset: surfacing what is hidden, questioning assumptions, and shaping systems that people can both use and influence.

What drives me?
For me, design goes beyond problem-solving or empathy. It is about learning from friction and revealing the deeper patterns that shape how people work, move, and connect. I look for leverage points where reflection can translate into meaningful action and systemic change.

Strengths & Tools

  • UX research and product strategy

  • Human-centered design for complex systems

  • Design system thinking

  • Figma, Mural, Adobe Suite, UserTesting

  • Mental models that bring clarity in chaos.

I’ve designed across domains—from CI/CD platforms for banks to mass-customization tools and live theatre experiments. My goal is always the same: build systems that are usable, meaningful, and grounded in people’s real contexts.

If you’re working with complexity and need a designer who blends engineering logic, artistic reflexivity, and the pulse of live collaboration—let’s talk.

Today, I design for complexity. That includes legacy tech, broken workflows, and unclear goals. My approach is grounded in reflexivity. I try to surface what’s hidden, question assumptions, and design systems people can actually shape and navigate.

What drives me?
Design isn’t just about solving problems or showing empathy. It’s about learning from friction. It’s about exposing the deeper patterns that shape how people work, move, and connect. I look for leverage points—places where reflection can turn into action.
